FALCONS ANNOUNCE SINGLE-GAME TICKET ON-SALE DATE, TRAINING CAMP DETAILS

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons, AHL affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced their single-game ticket on-sale date as well as training camp details for the upcoming 2012-2013 season on Thursday.

Single-game tickets for each of the Falcons' 38 regular season home contests will go on sale on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. at the MassMutual Center Box Office, which will remain open that day until 5 p.m., and online through Ticketmaster.com. During the season, the MassMutual Center Box Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the hours extended through start time on the night of Falcons home games. Tickets will be available at the box office on weekend home dates starting four hours prior to the opening face-off.

The Falcons will report to Springfield for camp on Thursday, Sept. 27 and will begin daily on-ice and off-ice sessions at the MassMutual Center beginning Friday, Sept. 28. They will participate in their first of three preseason contests on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at 7:05 p.m. at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough, Mass. against the Providence Bruins. Springfield will then return home for its final pair of tune-ups, hosting the Worcester Sharks on Friday, Oct. 5 and the Bruins on Saturday, Oct. 6, with both games at the MassMutual Center commencing at 7:00 p.m. The preseason games will serve as the only chance for Falcons fans to see the club in action prior to the start of the regular season.

Tickets for the Falcons' home preseason contests are $12 for general admission seats and are on sale now at the MassMutual Center Box Office and online through Ticketmaster.com.

Following the preseason, the Falcons will resume practice on Monday, Oct. 8 as they shift their focus toward the season opener on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 7:00 p.m. against the St. John's IceCaps at the MassMutual Center.

This training camp and ensuing season will be Springfield's first under new head coach Brad Larsen and the club's third as Columbus' primary developmental team. Larsen, who served as an assistant coach for the Falcons each of the last two years, led the Blue Jackets' July prospects camp earlier this summer.

Exact training camp times will be finalized in the week prior to the start of practice sessions.

Ticket packages to see the Falcons in the 2012-2013 season start as low as $112 and can be purchased by calling (413) 739-GOAL (4625).
