MOON RECALLED FROM EVANSVILLE

Springfield, Mass. - The Springfield Falcons announced on Saturday that they have recalled center Nathan Moon from their ECHL affiliate, the Evansville IceMen.

Moon, who was assigned by Springfield to Evansville last Sunday, scored a goal and added an assist for two points in five games during his first stint with the Falcons of 2012-2013 after initially being recalled on Feb. 19. He is tied for third on the IceMen with 35 points (16g-19a) in 44 contests this season and was Evansville's representative in the 2013 ECHL All-Star Game.

As a rookie in 2011-2012, Moon accumulated 32 points (12g-20a) in 72 games with the Worcester Sharks while also compiling 149 penalty minutes. He began his pro career in the 2011 CHL Playoffs, winning a league championship with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. Moon, a 23-year-old from Belleville, Ontario, was chosen by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the fourth round (120th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
